Man, I wish they could all be like that. I couldn't ask for a better weekend, it's the one I've been waiting for and expecting for a while now.

Started things off in practice on Friday feeling pretty strong. I ran around on an pretty used up tire for most of the day, then put a new Pirelli on to do some testing with rubber temperatures and tire pressures. Things went well there and I got some of the problems I was having with the tire figured out.

Saturday I spent the day putting around the pits, punishing my XR100, and generally bumming around while helping my buddies (as their pit-slave) finish 3rd in Middleweight in the 6 hour endurance event.

Now it's Sunday and time for business. The day started out as good as could be, I got the holeshot in both my qualifiers and ran away from there. They're 4 lap heats and I won them both by at least 3 seconds, looking real good for the afternoon. I put on a new rear tire during lunch to ensure maximum stick factor, bled the brakes and I'm ready to rock. I'll have to say the day went better than I really could hope for. I nailed the start in both my races, led into the first turn every time, and just checked out from there. I won them both with healthy 6-7 second leads. I was just playing around for the last half of my races, never ran wide once, didn't feel like I was pushing. I just focused on getting into the turns with decent speed and dialling the power on till it squirmed all the way out. That was enough to add about 0.7 to 1 second to my gap every lap. It sure feels awesome, but strange at the same time. Normally after the weekend I've got a ton of stories about close passing and hectic manoeuvres, but this time I have none of that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, it's just an adjustment I won't have too much trouble making.

I have to say tons of thanks to all of my sponsors: Tuff Dog Racing Team, Northwest Motorcycle, Mototuneusa.com, Factory Pro Tuning, EBC Brakes, and eClips Web Design. With out all of the help, none of this would be possible. With all of the travelling I've done and will do I'd simply be spread so thin I'd be microscopic. When I've been in jams, these people have dug deep to help me out and I'm just so glad I can give them what we've all wanted all along. Look for more great things next week down at Willow! I'm going to set the place on fire!!!
