Well, a brief summary is that my race program has gone from poopy to poopier. After struggling all through the Laguna weekend trying to get the front end to stay planted, I spun a rod bearing in practice and never got to race at all in Portland. The worst part of the whole deal is that the repair time is going to cut into my travel schedule. Mid Ohio is obviously out the window now, and from there I planned to hit a couple Canadian Nationals out East (Nova Scotia and Quebec). I'm still hoping that I can get things sorted out and catch back up with the schedule for Quebec, but I'll have to take it one step at a time.
Sorry there's not any more bounce in my step. It'll come back at some point here, my luck's bound to change. I truly want to extend an extra special thanks to all of my sponsors for sticking with me through all of this turmoil (at least I hope they will .. hehe). I thought I had a bad-luck year last year with the 4 blown motors, but this year's got it covered with tweaked shoulder ligaments, plugged intestines, a bike switch, unrideable front end, and now the blown motor.
Thanks for keeping up with me and my season. I'm looking forward to writing some more upbeat reports here in the next short while.
